The Pride Welcome Assembly is an annual ceremony coordinated and produced by a coalition of LGBTQ+ student organizations at the University of Florida. Our mission is to introduce people to the community, support, and network of resources that is offered on campus. We also emphasize a celebration and appreciation of queerness in all of its forms. Finally, our Welcome Assembly is a time when everyone can gather in community to generate excitement and awareness of all of the ways students can get involved on campus, and in the Gainesville area, to promote equity and solidarity.

Pride Welcome Assembly 2020 is defined by our theme: Bloom: Growth from Within. This year we are collectively developing opportunities and programming that stimulate growth within ourselves, and within the LGBTQ+ community. We must never forget the ongoing commitment to improving the relationships we have to ourselves, our friends, and our LGBTQ+ family. Pride Student Union, Pride Awareness Month, oSTEM and Queer Cultivation Program have collaborated to host our biggest celebration of the year, and we really hope that you are able to join us!
